On becoming a famous Bug.
Today’s inspiration comes from my eight year old granddaughter, who peered over my shoulder as I conducted a quick email check.
“Nana, what are you doing?”
“I’m checking my email for some important news. I’ve been trying to make arrangements for some famous people to sign this piano that Miss Lori created, so we can auction it off and help Habitat build a new home for a veteran.”
“I’m famous,” she grinned. “Would you like me to sign it?”
“That’s very sweet,” I replied. “But for now, I’m trying to see if we can get the members from the band to sign it.”
“What band?”
“The Beatles. They were a very famous band. And their pictures are painted on the piano.”
She pondered for a moment, and replied, “I know! How about if I join the band, and THEN I can sign it for you and you can sell it for a million dollars! I’ll tell The Bugs it’s okay.”
The lesson of the day: never lose your childlike wonder.
The quest continues.
