L.A. Rams: even if they win, they lose.

L.A. Rams: even if they win, they lose.

Jan 26, 2019 | Posted by Kim | Black and Gold, Musings |

So here’s a different perspective… You know who else got cheated when the L.A. Rams Nickell Robey-Coleman committed those malicious “no-call” fouls against the New Orleans Saints‘ Tommylee Lewis? His own teammates. Now, before you dismiss that, consider this: you’ve got an entire team of players who worked hard all year long to get to where they were. I’d imagine there are many decent, dedicated men for whom this moment was a lifelong dream. Granted, they may or may not have made it to the Bowl without that foul. But now, even if they win the NFL Super Bowl, they lose. They’re all going to be brandished as cheaters because of the actions of one team player.

And the NFL’s Super Bowl LIII will go down in history as the game without a legitimate champion–regardless of whom wins.

Think about that. It really sucks to be them.

And here in New Orleans…we’re licking our wounds, and our hearts are bleeding black and gold for our Saints and their devastation. So this is by no means dismissive of the losses suffered by our boys in black and gold and the entire Who Dat Nation. But we’re coming back next year with a vengeance. And in the meantime, we’re being embraced with the love and support from so many people all over the world–even opponents’ teams.

So I ask you now…who’s the real winner here?
